A strong and deeply traditional Rapé from the Yawanawá tribe, prepared with Pau Mulata (Mulateiro). Similar in overall composition as the famous Yawanawa Mulateiro, yet more "grey" in appearance and effect. The Mulateiro ashes provide a high level of focus, lasting for quite some time and leaving a trace of profound peace, clear headedness and grounding. We feel it is a very well balanced Rapè that would appeal to most users.

A strong and deeply traditional Rapé from the Yawanawá tribe, prepared with Pau Mulata (Mulateiro). Similar in overall composition as the famous Yawanawa Mulateiro, yet more "grey" in appearance and effect.
The Mulateiro ashes provide a high level of focus, lasting for quite some time and leaving a trace of profound peace, clear headedness and grounding. The effect of this Rapè is not as heavy as the Yawanawa Mulateiro and gives one a strong sense of presence and strength in the body, a Rapè that could aid one in physical activity once the initial application experience has subsided. We feel it is a very well balanced Rapè that would appeal to most users.
Moreover, Mulateiro ashes (Calycophyllum spruceanum) are considered to have anti aging as well as anti parasitical properties and are said to be used in Rapé to release tensions of the right and left cerebral lobes, thereby providing profound balance and equilibrium of mind and body. Mulateiro has also been recorded as being an admixture to the Ayahuasca preparation.

This mixture contains Mulaterio ashes (Calycophyllum spruceanum). Mulateiro belongs to the Rubiaceae family and is a canopy tree of 30 meter height. Interestingly its bark can shed and regenerate on a yearly basis, enabling a sustainable harvest and attributing regenerative properties to the use of its tree bark.
The tree is known as mulateiro or pau-mulato in Brazil, but it has the name capirona in Peru. It has a long tradition in the indigenous Amazonian culture, including many medicinal uses. Dried bark is used to counteract fungi, parasites, infections, and wounds or burns. Moreover, it is also often added to Ayahuasca. A tea of the bark is, in addition, used to treat diabetes, and its resin is used for abscesses and skin cancers.
About the tribe
The Yawanawá, or the tribe of the white-lipped peccary, are a small tribe of 1,300 people, living remotely in only a few villages along the Gregório River. They are known as warriors, as they always keep on fighting, even in hard times. At some point in history their tribe was almost extinct, with only about 300 members left. Nowadays their tribe has grown again, and their traditions and knowledge have been conserved in a very strict way.
The Yawanawá were the first tribe that initiated a woman to become a shaman, setting a huge example in the history of shamans. In their language rapé is called Rume and the Yawanawá preferably blend Rume with Tsunu ashes and mapacho, which gives this special blend a very refined taste. In addition, Tsunu is used for healing purposes and has a supportive role during ayahuasca ceremonies.
