A deeply intense and strong dark style Rapé Cumaru. Extremely grounding and it has the ability to put the user into deep trance like state. In some occasions it can cause deep nausea and detoxification. As with the Canela De Velho, purging is quite possible, yet the aftertaste although quite pleasant, is extremely strong and can cause a continuous stream of phlegm in the throat. Intention and setting have an important role in the administration of this Rapé and one should take time and space to prepare for its effects. More information can be read below.

Description
A deeply intense and strong dark style Rapé containing Arapiraca Tobacco and Cumaru ashes. Cumaru is extremely grounding and has the ability to put the user into deep trance like states. It easily makes it way into the back of the throat, and in some occasions can cause deep nausea and detoxification. As with the Canela De Velho, purging is quite possible and the aftertaste although quite pleasant is extremely strong and can cause a continuous stream of phlegm in the throat. Intention and setting have an important role in the administration of this Rapé and one should take time and space to prepare for its effects.

Dipteryx odorata is generally known as Cumaru or Cumaru Ferro, which translates as "Iron Cumaru" because of its hardness. It is a very noble hardwood used in construction and for floors and furniture. It has traditionally been used by the Huni Kuin or Kaxinawa as a good base for making ashes for Rapé. In general the woods or barks used for ashes are all of hardwood trees, it seems the harder the wood, the better the ash. The beans of the Cumaru tree are medicinal and are used also in food preparation and perfume as a substitute for Vanilla. This Rapé is prepared with strong Arapiraca Tabaco and with the ashes of the Cumaru that augment the strength of the Tabaco even more, making for a good power Rapé with a special kick hitting the right spot.

This is an extremely fine and dry powder. It takes great effort to produce such a fine powder at a 125 micron fineness. This is our standard. All our products are processed to a high standard and consistent fineness and dryness, using laboratory grade seives and dehydrating equipment, before packaging.

About the tribe
Kaxinawa means "People of the Bat" and is a name that was given to them by other enemy tribes. They are one of the biggest tribes in Acre state spread over different areas of the state with many communities and still exist in Peru as well. The Kaxinawas or Huni kuin (meaning true humans) are considered to be one of the biggest tribes in Acre, as they account for 42% of the indigenous population. They belongs to the Pano linguistic tribes that habitat the Peruvian and Brazilian Amazon. Moreover, their leader is a respected shaman that vigorously stands up for his tribe in public and through organizations: he founded the União das Naçoes Indigenas (UNI/AC) and ASKARJ, and he is a cofounder of the Alliance of Forest Peoples and of the International Council on Human Rights (IACHR). These organizations are speaking for the rights of the indigenous communities, as well as for human rights and the protection of the rainforest (Aya Conference 2014, Ibiza).

Rapé in the Kaxinawas tribe is used for different purposes, such as the relief of physical pain and headaches, cleaning of the sinuses and alleviating snuffles. In addition, the Kaxinawas apply rapé for mental healing, mostly in combination with chanting. Rapé connects the tribe with spirits of the jungle and - depending on the exact ingredients - it can cure, heighten concentration, improve hunting, or be a connector with the spiritual nature.

Contents
Apart from containing Brazilian Tobacco this Rapé has ashes from Cumaru bark (Dipteryx odorata). Cumaru is also known as the Tonka bean tree and has a long tradition of being used as a flavorful ingredient in snuffs, sweets, and foods. Yet, Cumaru also contains several bioactive ingredients, including coumarins and triterpenoids, and studies indicates its potential as a naturally occurring cancer chemopreventive agent.
